How do you figure the amount that can be earned while on disability?
I have two questions.
1) If an individual renewed a CDL while on disability, would their benefits be effected by the renewal?
2) Is there a way to figure the specific amount that an individual can earn while on disability?
The CDL would have no bearing on your disability benefits. Your work activity on the other had could cause a suspension or termination of your benefits.
If you are really considering a job, you should contact Social Security and discuss your work plans. Social Security has an SGA monthly earnings limit that affects your eligibility for disability monthly benefits and entitlement.
