Disability Benefits in NC
If you live in North Carolina and need assistance with either of the following:
- Getting your disability claim started with the Social Security Administration
- Filing an appeal if you’ve been denied disability benefits
We can assist you. Applying for disability can be long and confusing, and it is easy to make mistakes that cost precious time, situations we unfortunately see all the time. Most cases are denied at first, and so are the majority of first appeals (the request for reconsideration). However, with experienced representation, your chances of winning can be good, especially at a disability hearing. Our office makes a strong effort to research each case and look for the best way to win under Social Security Law.
But…we cannot do this by ourselves. We are your Advocates, but together we are a team whose goal is to win the case and get your benefits approved. For your part, that means informing us of medical changes and when you receive notices from Social Security.
Use the form below to contact us, or reach us at 919-278-7874. If you use the form, be prepared to receive our call from this number, or return a message if we leave one. It’s probably safe to say that no one enjoys playing phone tag.
A bit of housekeeping: Do not complete the form if you ALREADY have representation, and if you complete the form, do not contact other representatives before we have a chance to get in touch with you. This can make matters very confusing.
Who we are: Tim Moore is a former disability examiner for the Social Security Administration in North Carolina, a member of the National Association of Disability Representatives, and an ADR, or Accredited Disability Representative. He has been involved in the disability system since the 1990s and has been interviewed by the New York Times and the LA Times on the Disability System.
