ARE THERE RETROACTIVE SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS PAYABLE WHEN REDUCED EARLY RETIREMENT IS TAKEN AT 62?

Are there retroactive Social Security Benefits payable when reduced early retirement is taken at 62?

Hi, I am hoping that you can advise me. I turned 62 in May 8, 2014. If I apply for Social Security retirement now (Nov. 2014), will my first payment include SS income retroactive back to May?

If not, how do I retrieve the income due me from May, June, July, Aug and Sept?

Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, there are no retroactive benefits payable when reduced early age (62) retirement benefits are taken. You are entitled as of the date of your filing and no earlier.
