WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU FILL OUT YOUR DISABILITY FORMS?

What happens after you file a disability claim?

"Hi, What happens after I fill out the form? About how long does it take? Finally, does it go to people who specialize in disability? Thank you."

I am guessing you are asking what happens after you file a disability claim. Once your claim is filed it goes to an state disability agency responsible for making Social Security Disability determinations where it is assigned to a disability examiner.

Social Security Disability examiners have specialized training that enables them to make a disability determination using Social Security rules and guidelines and your medical evidence. There are medical professionals at these agencies as well. For the most part they review the disability examiners determinations to make sure they are supported by the facts of the disability case. If the examiners determination is correct the medical professional signs the determination and a decision is sent to you.

I hope this helps you to understand the disability process. Good luck with your disability claim.
