Osteoporosis FAQ page

This is a fairly informative FAQ page on osteoporosis. Actually, informative is a bit of an understatement. This page provides quite a bit of information on this condition, as well as quite a number of internet web resources for fibromyalgia and polymyalgia rheumatica disease.

What I really like about this web resource is that the information is laid out in a very easy-to-read manner and this includes both the outgoing links as well as the onpage information.

A very useful FAQ page for Osteoporosis and Arthritis sufferers

Bipolar and Disability

This is an article that discusses bipolar disorder in the context of filing for disability benefits. The article appears on the site, Bipolar World, which provides extensive information about bipolar disorder for individuals who have this condition and those who are connected to individuals with bipolar.

Unfortunately, a lot of websites that purport to be helpful resources are really just marketing facades for pharmaceutical companies and you can generally tell this from the moment you land on such a website's homepage.

Bipolar World, however, is a genuine web resource, the intention of which is help people. The site seems to be updated on a regular basis. Today, I visited the site and found links to relatively recent news items.

And the site must be fairly popular as the counter at the bottom of the home page indicates that more than a million visitors have found Bipolar World.

Senior Mag

Senior Mag Online is located at seniormag.com. Senior Mag is an online magazine that provides useful information to seniors. The magazine provides links that address elder care, elder law, assisted living, Canadian pharmacies, senior citizen money issues, etc.

There is an article called Consultative Exams and Social Security Disability by Pitt Dickey, which explains the consultative exam process and why Social Security might require the exam. Social Security sometimes needs a more technical evaluation of an individual’s medical problem or sometimes there is not enough current medical information in the Social Security claims file to make a decision. Social Security is a very important issue for seniors, as are the other subjects covered by this online magazine. This is worth looking at if you are a senior or applying for Social Security disability.

InfoMin, the Medical Information Network, has a website dedicated to helping patients with Chronic Pain, CFS, and Fibromyalgia find valuable resources, such as information about winning Social Security disability (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

The website has an interesting article written by Joshua W. Potter, Esq., which thoroughly outlines the process of filing for Social Security disability programs including defining what is disability and explaining the process of filing for disability (initial claim and appeals).

The article also has helpful suggestions for physicians who are advising their patients to seek Social Security disability. For instance, the physician should make sure that your medical records are well documented with objective medical evidence, so that you are found to have a medically determinable impairment. If you have one of the above listed conditions, this page by Joshua W. Potter is well worth reading if you are pursing a Social Security disability claim.

The best feature of this website is the Social Security disability blog, which covers an extensive list of subjects including but not limit to Social Security funding issues, disability case processing, proposed legislation, and information about disability and vets. I found the links on this site to be the usual and general sort of links that are found on many sites, however the Social Security disability blog provides valuable information about an assortment of Social Security related issues.
