NAMI

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has a website called nami.org, which provides helpful information about mental illness. Additionally, nami.org provides answers to questions about Social Security disability and how it relates to individuals with mental impairments. Nami.org also gives a letter grading for all fifty states, with regard to access of treatment for mental illness, and not surprisingly most states were rated at a C or lower. The mission of NAMI is to eliminate mental illness and improve the quality of life for those individuals affected with mental illness. If you or someone you love has a mental illness this website may be both helpful and informative.
