"Thank you for your website, it is very helpful. I am curious though: How is one to get meds while in the 2-year wait period for medicare to kick in?

Thank you,
Rob"

Unfortunately, you are facing a problem that so many Social Security disability beneficiaries face. The two year Medicare waiting period makes it very difficult to get medications and medical treatment. If your benefit or other resouces prevent you from receiving Medicaid, you are stuck. I might suggest that you see what free or income based medical clinics are in your area; sometimes they can provide assistance with medications.

Additionally, some manufacturers work with physicians to provide medications for free or at a greatly reduced price. Lastly, you may want to check needymeds.com, a website designed to help with medication. Other than these couple of suggestions, I am not sure if there is not much out there.
